EASY MOROCCAN-INSPIRED COUSCOUS
3 Tbsp of Ahara Rasa Hot Date (with ghee and date pieces)
2 Tbsp chopped roasted almonds
1 cup quick cooking couscous
1.5 cups vegetable or chicken stock
In a sauce pan, heat stock to just boiling and then turn off. Heat Ahara Rasa Hot Date on medium high until melted, add couscous and stir, lightly “toasting” the couscous. Pour the stock into the couscous, cover and turn off heat. Let sit for 5 minutes, fluff with a fork and add almonds before serving.
HOT DATE BREAKFAST OATS
1 Tbsp Ahara Rasa Hot Date with pieces
¾ cup rolled oats
Sprinkle of granola and dollop of yogurt (Optional)
Little honey (Optional)
1.5 cups water
In a saucepan, add Ahara Rasa Hot Date with date pieces into pan and melt to a gentle sauté. Add oats and sauté for about a minute. Add water, cover and bring to a boil. Turn down from boil to simmer for 10 minutes. Garnish with a little granola, a dollop of yogurt and a little swizzle of honey.
